Easter and Spring!

Sorry, I am trying to catch up with the blog! It is starting to get crazy with graduation and end of year activities just around the corner. But, be patient with me, I will get caught up this week! Here are some pictures from Easter/Spring week. Below you can see the kids hopping in a zig zag like a rabbit running from a predator. They zig zagged, raced, went backwards, and hopped on one foot. 

We also practiced making the number 20.....in jelly beans!

We practiced writing our sight words. Most of these words are still unfamiliar to the kids, but they practiced saying the letters as they wrote them, and got some great writing practice in!

For an art center we had some Easter and Spring stickers. I left it completely up to the kids imagination as to how they would create their picture. They did great and came up with some great works of art!

We also had some Easter sticker scenes.

And, we stamped some patterns with our animal footprint stampers. We had a bunny, a chick, a duck and a lamb. 

For a math center, we added some carrots to our dirt on these playdough mats. We needed to feed the bunny the amount of carrots on each mat.

For sensory, we had bird seed in the sandtable. It is surprisingly fun to play with and feel birdseed! It has a fun texture that just keeps you wanting to go back for more! We had some eggs in the table we could fill with the birdseed. They were all different sizes, and we tested if the sound would be different if their volumes were different. Some of the eggs were also the shape of carrots, so we had fun planting and picking our carrots.

We also took turns trying to catch the bunnies with our ring toss game. 

But, that's not all we caught. We used our bug nets to catch some butterflies from our Elefun game. Great way to start off Spring!
