Things "shaped" up nicely this last week as we discovered shapes all around us! We started the week with this shape block painting project. Check out our creations!
We talked about the letters E and F this week, and we really enjoyed making this circles frog for the letter F.
Which shape is it? It was a "toss up" with our shaped bean bag toss. We tried to get the shape bean bag into its corresponding floor shape.
We worked on our fine motor skills with these snap, button, and velcro bands by makes shapes of all sorts and sizes!
We worked on forming our shapes with rubber bands on our geoboards.
For our writing centers this week, we made our uppercase letter E and F. We used our dot markers to form the letter E, and crayon rubbings to form our letter F.
For our math center, we created pictures with these big button pictures. After the kids had filled their pictures with the correct shaped buttons, they counted the buttons and added that numbered puzzle piece to their picture.
For dramatic play, we made creations with these sticky shapes blocks. You all have such creative kids!
Our peg board shapes were fun build, unbuild, and build again!
We also had fun listening to our hot dot dogs. They light up green when you push on the correct answer, and red when you choose incorrectly. They also talk and let us know that we got our answers correct!
Don't you just love those faces!!
And, We played memory match-up with our shapes.
